As an insurance and investment consultant, Dan works with clients to implement customized financial solutions related to retirement planning, investment management, insurance and employee benefits for small businesses. He specializes in developing plans to help clients budget, pay down debt and retire early. Dan joined Culbertson Financial Services in 2002 and has spent his entire professional career helping individuals and small business owners implement insurance and investment strategies. He takes a highly personalized approach to developing fee-based money management solutions designed to protect wealth, maintain income, reduce taxes and satisfy the estate planning goals of his clients. Dan’s ultimate goal is to simplify his clients’ financial lives and help them retire early with confidence.In 1991, Dan earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Pittsburgh. He holds the Series 7, 24, 63, 65 and 51 licenses Held through LPL Financial to life, health, disability income and long-term care insurance designations in Pennsylvania. On April 1st, 2020 Dan was awarded the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) Designation from the Center for Fiduciary Studies®.
The AIF® Designation signifies specialized knowledge of fiduciary responsibility and the ability to implement policies and procedures that meet a defined standard of care. His agency handles over 200 corporate group benefits plans in Pennsylvania. Dan and his team believe in the importance of giving back to their local community. Dan has served on a variety of boards and committees in the State College area, including The State College Elks, Bob Perks fund, Central PA Builders Association and the Nittany Performing Arts Center. When not in the office, Dan and his wife, Kim, enjoy golfing, traveling and cooking.
